A Hot Day at the Swell Sculpture Festival, Currumbin
One of the lovely things about house sitting is having the opportunity to get out and explore the beautiful places around us.
We recently spent a very warm day at the Swell Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast.
And when I say warm, I mean hot!
Sculptures, Sunshine and a Seaside Picnic
Armed with a picnic, we headed down to the beach to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the coastline, stopping along the way to admire the wonderful sculptures dotted throughout the beachfront.
There was such an interesting mix of creativity, imagination and artistic talent on display, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the ocean.
Despite the heat, it was a lovely way to spend a few hours. We found a spot to enjoy our picnic, soaked up the sea breeze and took our time wandering amongst the sculptures.
The Little Pleasures of House Sitting
It's these simple little outings that make house sitting such an enjoyable lifestyle for us. There's always somewhere new to explore, something interesting to discover, or a beautiful beach calling our name.
